Hello, my name is Hao Guo, and I’m proud to be a part of the NEXTBAT project, representing the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT. As the Work Package leader for WP5: Manufacturing and Recycling with LCA, I oversee the development of innovative batteries with a strong focus on sustainability.
My role in NEXTBAT
WP5: Manufacturing and Recycling with LCA
In Work Package 5 (WP5), my team and I are responsible for both the manufacturing process and the recycling of batteries within the NEXTBAT project. Our work ensures that the batteries not only meet performance expectations but also adhere to the project’s sustainability goals. By combining precision and innovation, we aim to make battery manufacturing both efficient and eco-friendly, ensuring a positive lifecycle impact.
Innovating for a sustainable future
Manufacturing is more than just assembling components—it’s about transforming ideas into reality. We work to turn concepts into tangible products that help shape the future of sustainable mobility. Every step, from design to recycling, is crucial to ensuring that these advanced batteries can support greener transport solutions.
“Manufacturing is the art of turning ideas into reality, where precision, innovation, and quality converge to create products that drive progress and shape the future.”
Personal Life
When I’m not immersed in the world of battery manufacturing, I love spending time with my 2-year-old son. Weekends are a special time for us to explore new activities, play with toys, and go for walks—watching him grow and discover the world is one of my greatest joys.
Moving Forward
As we move ahead with the NEXTBAT project, my goal remains clear: to lead the way in developing batteries that not only meet technical demands but also contribute to a sustainable future through responsible manufacturing and recycling practices.
